I was just reading the new Music Direct catalog that arrived in my mail, and noted two SACD's that are apparently now available that I truly never expected to see offered. The first is the much famed, and brilliant, original King Crimson album, "In The Court Of The Crimson King", the second is another personal favorite, and one of the great ambient albums ever made, Eno's, "Music For Airports".

Has anyone listened to "Drawn From Life" produced by Eno & J Peter Schwalm? I really like that album and its one of my favourites. Does it come in SACD format too? Which other Eno's work should i listen to too?

I would suggest, Music for Airports, Music For Films, Ambient 2 - The Plateaux of Mirror, The Pearl (with Harold Budd), and Apollo - Atmospheres and Soundtracks.
While I enjoy them, I find The Shutov Assembly, Thursday Afternoon and Neroli to be mostly for very hard core Enophiles.

i must be hardcore, because those are three of my favorites. keep in mind eno has two styles, modal ambient music (what nightfall recommended) and more traditional rhythmic music (like "drawn from life", "nerve net", etc.).

The day that Eno & Byrne's My Life in a Bush of Ghosts is released in a new format, is the day that I upgrade.

you should hear that one on vinyl: audiophile quality.

when "thrusday afternoon" hits sacd, i'll get a player.

it is, imho, the greatest ambient music recording available (aside from my own compositions, of course
