Coincidentally, I've also been experimenting with tips that allow for a shallower insertion lately, and I concur that it results in a better response (attenuating the LF output).  I should try blocking the vents as well to see how that goes.

I've let them burn in some and did some tip rolling. I listened to a bunch of songs with them and they are unique iems. Thus far, I haven't heard another iem that has a similar presentation. If you like electric guitars and bass guitars, have a listen to the MA750's. Electric guitars have so much presence, crunch, and authority that I sometimes just solely focus on the guitars when the music is playing. Bass guitars carry their notes and have weight to them. If you like rock and hard rock, I would recommend these iems.

I actually haven't run any hard rock through them.  I did listen to a bunch of old alternative stuff though (shoegazing, BritPop, etc.) and it was a thoroughly enjoyable listen.

750, definitely the 750.

I got the replacement MA750 yesterday. There is driver flex on this one, but it doesn't seem as bad. The old one made crinkling noises if I gently push the earphones inward after insertion. This one doesn't seem as sensitive. I only hear driver flex when I insert the earphones, but nothing when the housing is gently pushed inward once they're in my ears. The driver flex is still there, but it's a major improvement compared to my old pair.
 
RHA customer service has been really great so far. I'm sure they'll help me out if the new pair has any problems.

  Okay, so it seems like it's the nature of the driver then.  I'm not worried, I've had about a half-dozen RHAs now - and bought one for a friend.  No failures so far.  Plus, they've got that crazy 3-year warranty.

The MA750i isn't the best earphone I own right now, but it is one of the best in having great synergy with the DX50 DAP.

So I got a pair of the MA750s (for my daughter as it turns out). But I did have them for the past few weeks and used them for about 30 minutes at a time...about the max I can with IEMs actually and I gotta say I am VERY impressed with them. Their construction is S-O-L-I-D! I love the stainless steel and the cable is very sturdy. I guess my only gripe is the plug is a bit too wide to fit in my iPhone case, so I have to pull it back to get it fully in. My favourite plug is on the Sennheiser Momentum...something other manufacturers should look at IMO.
 
Now moving on to how does it sound? Well, first off, it certainly doesn't sound like a $130 IEM. In fact, it punches much higher than its weight class. I prefer this to the Westone 3s, SE315s, IE8s that I previously owned. The overall sound signature is quite balanced with very good hitting bass, and treble that is very well extended (see Shure....extended treble can be done with an IEM 

). The mids are solid and very clean and transparent. 
 
Isolation is on the average side compared to Shure IEMs, but still not bad at all. Overall for $129, these are a no-brainer IMO.  I'm not a fan of the higher and higher prices of IEMs lately and only to have them sound VERY marginally better (if at all). Heck, I've lost many over the years and was paranoid on taking my SE535s and W4s out of the house....I'm very happy to see that companies like RHA have developed affordable IEMs, like the MA750s, that one doesn't have to sacrifice sound quality for an ever increasing price.
