Heh, that's the same combo I'm running now. Pretty stout little setup for sure... I actually use it on Lo gain with the K553's (but, on Hi gain with most of my other headphones).

Also owning the HE-400... yes, the Magni 2 drives it well. Flip it to Hi gain and enjoy the bliss. So far, from my little collection, the HE-400 is my favorite. I have to do a lot more listening though. The K553 works well in some situations and has its sound signature that is hard to ignore and forget

After some burn in (which tamed the sibilance some), I find these make me want to get up and dance with rock.  I haven't felt that way since my PSB M4U1, and only with a few songs at that.

or apply rogaine to the bottom of the headband
