totally agree, it's like my computer, I don't game much and I have a decent graphics card but now I have a bug to upgrade my GPU to the latest one even though I know it's not necessary. I can buy X2 but I want two things in a single budget that's why I don't wanna spend more money on X2. other problem is that I don't live in the US or Europe etc. someone will help me get the X1 from Amazon and I'll have to pay that person at least $50 for extra charges to bring it to my country. and I believe I won't have money in the near future to upgrade to new headphones or graphics card. hope X1 will serve me few years like my old beats studio.

There's a very good chance they will. Honestly, I am so satisfied with the x1's that I truly don't feel the need to get the x2's. Every now and then my head-fi addiction disorder kicks in and I get interested in the x2's, but all i have to do is throw on the x1's and the urge is gone :)

In this post there are also some recommendations (also measurements and some impressions of cable swap): http://www.head-fi.org/t/623013/new-philips-fidelio-x1/4320#post_10475263

If You want the similar looks of original cable then this should be good choice (1.2m up to 3m options): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-Headphone-Cable-For-philips-Fidelio-X1-UE6000-UE9000-Sony-MDR-1R-AUX-/310803988432?pt=US_MP3_Player_Cables_Adapters&var=&hash=item485d5c7fd0&rmvSB=true

Nice, except we don't use Amphenol plugs.

Maybe something happened with original plugs and they were replaced by user, thus this kind of price/bundle?

I dunno, I was told by seller this was a DIY job, that it was done by his friend who was a sort of expert DIY'er. I'm honestly not bothered as long as it looks good. The Amphenol plug does look good, so I'm all about das look, yah!:D

Perhaps, I ain't sure of the detail. The price he was selling the item was too good to pass up.

Edit - I've been taking a closer look at the cable, I was told by the seller that one end had been "sawed" (whatever that means) to fit the original stock plug connecting to the headphone. I think that this was a DIY modded PlusSound SPC cable from what I've been told by the seller. Regardless, it didn't add much to the selling price of the X1, and he did give me the original stock X1 cable as well, so I'm happy. I've gotten in touch with an expert cable DIY'er here to have 1.2m - 1.5m custom cables for both my K812 and HD700, gonna see if price is doable, if not, I do see such cables sold on eBay and Amazon.
