anyone who can read japanese translate that, because im seriously interested in this card. only let down for me was their choice of capacitors. about the quality of parts: if they really want to get this message across, why didn't they use all solid capacitors? such as used on soundcards like HT Omega's just spells quality(http://www.htomega.com/claroplus.html). choice of types of capacitor used can easily distinguish whether or not a manufacture/company has taken an extra step for high quality product. and since the Onkyo has so many capacitors, it would have been great for Onkyo to show off its quality by going for solid caps.

The caps on that HT Omega card are surface mount electrolytics, they are NOT solid caps, and solid caps does not mean quality either.

For reference, here is a surface mount electrolytic cap from Panasonic's FC series: http://rocky.digikey.com/WebLib/Pana...0.5H,10.0D.jpg

From years of looking at different audio stuff... I have come to the conclusion that parts means nothing without a proper audition. If you want some extreme examples, check out FM Acoustics. Their parts are simply CHEAP, your everyday industrial parts. NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL, except for the actual performance it delivers, which is way outta the world, and they priced it way outta the world too.

Not to mention, each type of cap have its place, using all solid might end up with a thin/sharp signature in the sound that is not at all pleasent to listen to.

upon closer inspection of the cap, it is SMD electrolytics. It doesn't even show who made those caps... It is just some plain industrial stuff...
