I've been curious for a while now about what NAD was going to replace the L40 with. I was hoping for a version of the L40 that could also play DVDs with 2-channel sound, but it looks like they went all-out and made a 5-channel version called the L70.
The L70 isn't listed on their website yet, but you can download the spec sheet here:

Looks pretty good: tuner, CD, DVD, optical in/out (to easily use a computer as a source), 5-channel 45wpc amplification, headphone jack, universal remote, Crystal DAC. Wish it came in black, but the titanium color is nice.
Has anyone heard this? Or heard anything about it? Any thoughts?
