Monster has a new UPS product (HT UPS 1000 ) specificly designed for A/V systems.

Hmm, I don't really see a UPS being necessary for most users ..how many of us have constant power interruptions or need to use our equipment in a power outage?

I think the idea is to keep a constant voltage present.
(More brown out protection than blackout protection)

I found a rack mountable UPS for a little less that might do the same thing.

Looking at the rear of this unit I see they are using an IEC inlet filter which looks similar to the one I have incorporated into my PSU!! it must be a good unit then

BTW.. who / what is "monster"?? are they the firm who make the interconnects? I have never heard of any other monster here in the UK
