Hi, my name is Stuart.
Over the last week of searching high and low i have finally resigned to losing my beloved IRiver H320 that i have owned from new around 12 or so years ago.I have mostly used it in my cars over the years and it has been outstanding for sound quality imho.
When i bought it i was and still am against buying anything Apple related so i took a chance going for the IRiver H320 and boy was i glad that i did.
During my ownership i have replaced the battery a couple of times and upgraded the HDD to an 80gb Toshiba one. I also changed the firmware to Rockbox to enhance the usability and sound quality to my linking.
To say i am gutted is an understatement. I can honestly say that it has been the most most important gadget i have purchased in my lifetime.
So now i have to find a replacement that can at least compare to the sound and build quality that i have been accustomed to over the years. I have a feeling it isn't going to be cheap or easy tbh.
Anyway just wanted to drop in and introduce myself to the forum. I will start to post in the relevant sections of the forum to try and find another perfect portable partner.
