New Member (Senn HD590 owner)

Found my way to this forum from a post off another forum and decided to sign on. I must say some very knowledgeable folks here when it comes to the subject of cans! My headphone collection is limited to a couple pairs of Senns, the first an old set of 490's, the second are my main listening phones - Senn HD590's. Perhaps not the first choice of the audiophiles out there, but I must say I do enjoy the comfort and the oh so glorious highs! I live in Canada, and at this time of the year the nights are quite long, and consequently so are the listening sessions

LOL, there seems to be a difference in opinion regarding the merits of the 580 versus 590. Both are very good products and I would hesitate to recommend one over the other, its really a matter of personal tastes.

But for 590 owners I suggest looking at it this way - the 580's have a distinct advantage in terms of the number of units sold so are bound to have more defenders, but therein lies the rub - consider youself a member of the select few who have had the good fortune to discover and enjoy this wonderful product!

I own the 590, too! And I want 580, also!!

The 590 is different from - not better or worse than - the 580, IMHO.

Just look at my current avatar: a picture of the 590!!!
