What IEMs do you recommend for a person on a budget. I currently have Shure E2s, but I want better sound quality and a cleaner, more full sound. Also, of these, which do you favor for a bass lover? - I love bass, but I wouldn't go as far as skullcrushers. Would it be better to just keep adjusting the equilizer settings? One more thing: isolation is a must.
Thanks

The Etymotic ER6i would be cleaner, for sure. Isolation would be as good as anything you could get. Certainly not bassy, but the bass is there -- you just have to get used to listening for it..

The Westone UM1 would be comfortable and would isolate about the same as the E2's, I would guess. Sound should be pretty full ...

ER-6i has less bass than the E2C, so if you're willing to compromise that for clarity and detail, then they're the way to go. If you step up a price level, however, both Super.Fi 5 Pro and E4 are great choices to upgrade to.

i'd add vmoda vibe. You do not seem to be mentioning isolation too much, and they are semi-iems...
and they are bassier than all of the above it seems (and sound good too).

im716 = not that much bass at all >.<

Agreed with the top, I just realized I forgot it. If isolation isn't a concern, the Vibe should certainly provide the body and bass sought after.

I get plenty of refined bass with my iM716 in Bass mode with foamies or triple-flanges, the latter inserted deeply.
