Hello all, I'm Travis and I'm looking for my very first pair of headphones. I have been lurking for quite a while and I'm still lost. So I came here for help. I do have a pair of KEF earbuds that are decent straight but I'm looking for an upgrade in isolation, Soundstage, and overall sound quality. I've owned JBL Century L100s, B&W 600 series, NHT T6 Evolution, and Monitor Audio Silver 6.
After lurking for a while I've decided to join now that I'm getting more serious about my audio gear.
A little about me, I'm a poor university student with a 24/7 music addiction.
My first steps into "audiophile" Hi-Fi was getting a Fiio X7 MK II with Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7's about 2 years ago.
Since then I've slowly expanded my collection with a few KZ IEM's and my recently acquired Meze 99 Classics and Fiio FH1s.
Currently I'm planning to get my first stack and a nice pair of open back headphones to go along with it.
Two years ago, when I was in college, my roommates gave me a proper introduction to the world of hi-fi audio. They had me try some Andromedas and Denons to name a few. I wasn't able to afford anything back then cuz I was a broke college student, but recently I've been able to test a couple headphones and have settled for some Sennheiser HD6XX for now. I'm looking forward to get into my endgame setup and I know I got a long way to go.
Long time lurker, but joined hoping to a buy a new pair pair of the discontinued Sennheiser HD800(Not S). If anyone knows that their local store has one, or anyone has a new pair in their basement somewhere, let me know. I've looked online internationally, but no luck yet. Thanks.
Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to audio. I subscribed here in order to have some little help with technical stuff, and to learn more about hi-fi in general I own a pair of AKG K702 and I love them, even if I can't fit them on my small crow head.
I am a long time Head-Fi, (and other forums), lurker who is finally making an actual account, and posting.
I listen to music every day, usually via my Onix Rocket RS850's or my office KEF LS50's. Lately, pandemic/work changes have resulted in me having to use headphones more than I've ever previously needed to, and I'm realizing that I'm not satisfied with long listening sessions via my current headphones/headset: V-Moda M-100, Sennheiser Urbanite XL, Sennheiser PC37X. I am finally planning to look more seriously into headphone considerations, and possibly IEM(s) as well for good measure.
I am a budding audiophile/ addict getting ready to make my first purchases! I've currently got a Game One and GSX1200, but am getting the itch to move into more serious gear/ tech, much to the chagrin of my wallet!
Sennheiser HD6XX + Fiio e10k - This is what I would call it quits for now. I still need to learn how to appreciate these more. I don't currently have time to tear these guys apart, but I figure joining a forum will help.

Currently using Beyerdynamics COPP at home, and switching between Bose QC35 and Fischer audio(Kennerton) M12s at work.
Switching because I always forget to charge my Encore mDAC.
