Hello,

I’m a new member here. I’ve always enjoyed good audio sound but never really got into the technical end of things. A little bit of history, I have a ATH-M50, Senn 580, B&O H9i and AirPods Pro. In my car I have B&O sound system package.

I recently got the AKG N5005, while they sound decent, I really don’t think IEM are my thing.

I’m looking to step up my headphone experience a bit. I ordered iFi iDSD Micro Signature Finale and now looking for a good headphone to pair it with. I listen to everything. Instrument musicals, Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, and just about everything. I appreciate highs, mids and bass in my music. I have been looking and I narrowed it down to the following:

Arya Stealth
HE6se V2 or V1
LCD-X(I’m not EQ expert)
Focal Clear MG

The prices on HiFiMan for open box or refurbs are currently really hard to beat. However, I really don’t mind spending a little more if there are better suggestions.

I appreciate any input and feedback. Thank you.

Hifiman is truly hard to beat for price to performance. The 6SE v2 is an aggressive headphone, highs, mids, lows, all there--just requires some good power and does benefit from a bass shelf. The Arya is smoother overall, more polished for lack of a better word. That teardrop shape doesn't fit everyone well so if you have a smaller head, I'd research further. LCD-X does benefit from EQ, not that it's unlistenable without EQ. That stuff is pretty easy once you get into it. They're somewhat heavy though, as is the Clear. Arya is the lightest feeling and subjectively most comfortable of all of these, at least for me.

Thank you. Will the iFi iDSD Micro Signature Finale have enough power to drive the 6SE V2? I know it also has the bass boost.

I've had some of those:
Arya Stealth Magnet: Probably the best sounding headphones I've heard. They're worth the money all day long. They fixed the upper mid peak in the original and it's just amazing.

He6se if you use the autoeq profile which has a -6.9db preamp reduction they sound so good. To do it you need a 5 volt DAC and heavy hitter amplifier. The Topping A70 Pro did the best with an E70 Velvet DAC, but an SMSL DL200 did great as a DAC also for much less.
I had the Audeze LCD-DX was nice but like the Heddphone, wasn't worth the money. Audeze is just overpriced, great fit and finish, but no wow factor like the Arya Stealth.
