I am currently looking to buy a new pair of headphones that I will use to mix live bands, live choirs, live theatre, basically all live events. At the moment I ask looking to buy the ATH-MSR7 or the ATH-M50x both of these headphones I have looked extensively at everything about them and what they will do for me. The MSR7 with provide a better interpretation of what the sound is like because of its extensive dynamic range. While at the same time sounding fairly neutral besides a small boost in bass and a small boost in the high-mid range. While the M50x have more emphasized bass response and high response. They both have detachable cables and are replaceable. Although the M50x do have a coiled cable which is nice for in the studio or at the board. If you have any other suggestions I am open to them but they need to be for live mixing not for personal use and I do not want open back headphones because I am working in a busy setting and don't want the outside noise coming into my headphones while I am trying to mix.
