Had my order in yesterday after seeing a random review video pop up on YT. Should be here tomorrow!
Awesome! Many of us would really appreciate if you can share your thoughts once you get them :)

Frequency response is the same as the wired headphone.

Reminds me of Radio Shack!! I still pull out my KSC-75 for listening to TV privately.

Anyone got these yet? I just found out about them, but they're sadly sold out and Amazon claims it doesn't know when "or if" they will be back in stock. I'd love to get my hands on a set of these.

I picked up a set - they're my first Porta Pros of any kind. I love them. They sound great to me, somehow kick out a surprising amount of bass, and they've replaced me existing work setup altogether. I want to get another pair for workouts whenever they're back.

Hey all. Not a lot of replies yet, but I thought I'd join in anyways :)

I've been using mine for a few days now, and I'm quite happy with them.
- they do sound like a porta pro (I've had porta pro's for the past 15 years)
- have superb battery life (Koss says 20 hours, I've not been able to use it for more than 15 hours straight yet, but it sure hold for that long)
- without wire, I can just keep it on my neck even when not using.
- the microphone is suprisingly useful, even when biking. Normally the wind becomes an issue.
- bluetooth reach is pretty good

there's sadly not just positives.
- only has SBC, maybe AAC. no SBC-XQ, so the audio through bluetooth sounds quite compressed.
- won't work while charging
- need a proprietary usb c to 3.5mm cable to use as analoge headphones (cool points for including it, though!)
- can't connect to multiple devices at once, to switch between devices, I have to turn bluetooth off on the host device, then connect from another host device, and sometimes I have to restart the headphones
- I have to keep my phone in my right pocket, or the connection might not be super stable

Now I'm not squeamish about taking apart my €100 devices, so I bought one extra to take apart/modify. Luckily it is easy to do so, and it didn't damage them. Here's what I found out:

The SOC

The SOC used is the BEKEN BK3296, of which documentation is available. This chip should have UART, and a hardware-based 4 band equalizer (programmable via a tool I have not yet been able to find, though it might be this one). from the documentation:

4.16.1 Four-Band Digital Equalizer
A dedicated four-band digital equalizer is implemented prior to digital-to-analog conversion to give users the option of
customizing the frequency response of the audio output. The equalizer is implemented in hardware to reduce overall chip
power consumption. The four-band equalizer can be easily configured using the BK3296 software configuration tool kit. For
more information, please refer to the BK3296 Software Configuration Tool User Guide

My plan is to get UART working, and see if I can reduce the bass, which is a bit much for me. I hope to give y'all a nice update on this.

Have a great weekend,
CH23
