Hey Everyone,

I'm kinda new here on Head-Fi!! Long time reader, first time poster. I've been looking at the Kenwood HD30GB9 for a little while and thinking of trading in my Cowon X5 w/(Rockbox) when I came across this:

http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/14/k...ng-on-the-int/

The 2008 Model.. A 60GB player with gold plated chassis and AAC support. It's pricey, but I'm wondering how much cleaner it will sound with my E5's.

Anyway, if anyone who has a HD30GB9 could let me know what they think of the Kenwood sound signature and how it would sould with Shure E5's, please let me know.

Cheers,
Matt

The Shure E5 are ultra sensitive. I tried the E500 with the HD10GB7, lil' brother of the GB9, and there was a lot of hiss. The E5 are quite more sensitive than the E500. I hope Kenwood got rid of the hiss with the new model. Like always, Kenwood is very pricey.
