Wha? That's a really decent price! That's the big question - how good CAN they be? *peers at your soon-to-be-published review* But hey if you bring them to the NJ meet I'll test it em against the big ambient noises at the meet and see how they do in a pretty accurate portrayal of a portable setting - that's how I would use the cans.

Why did I have to stumble upon this tidbit? Now I want to listen to it. If there's still a space, I'd really like to attend the meet, though it's bit of a maybe at this point (With needing to be at work early on Monday). Maybe I can convince my work to give me a day off on Monday.

I fear to listen to it. I don't want to sour on my poor SRM-1/MKII!

I'm totally in on this, provided I can figure out how to get there from Brooklyn without a car of my own. Can I be added to the list?

See, it's one thing if I could afford an ES-1, but I know I can't, so I'm fine with listening it - sort of like listening to HE90's.

Well, there's that - but it does so many things, so it was easier to justify the cost. And I already have a new amp coming for my Omega II's, so I'm set there. Besides, I'd need to get/build an entirely new rack if I get a tube gear.

I'd like to know too - i was all disorganized trying to run my own mini-auction at the NYC meet - no skillz, oh well. I do have quite a few things to donate this time around - spare fresh unused sheets of BSE (the good new version) and IS, and maybe even a 5G 30gig hardshell ipod case (um, sorta used, but that never stopped me before), and some random earbuds that someone might get a kick out of. Oh, and some tubes- EN1P pair, one which probably is messed up, but if you have a tube tester, why not take em off my hands.

I'm not sure of my schedule yet, but if possible, I'd like to attend.

I'll collect the money for the room but if you have a gift type donation can someone volunteer to set up a raffle?

Suggested donation for the room is $10 each. (Room cost is $350 plus tax, so almost $400 total). I will contribute the same and cover any shortfalls but hopefully we will have extra and be able to donate the excess to Head-Fi.
