This is Interpol's first major label release, after leaving Matador for Capitol. Hopefully it will be as good as Turn on the Bright Lights, hopefully with better sound recording than that album.

In the meantime, I am really loving the new album "Boxer" by The National. It sounds like Leonard Cohen backed by Interpol. First album in a while I need to listen to at least once a day. Really addictive.

I have a confession to make.

I preordered the iTunes Plus version on iTunes. Under normal circumstances I probably would go to the record store and pick up this and the new Spoon album, but I already preordered the Spoon CD with the Britt Daniel-designed t-shirt, and it seems silly to go to the record store when the other thing I was going to buy is already being sent straight to me.

Though I am getting the RTI 180g repressing to make up for it.
