Often averse to more mids-leaning signatures, but I've had ES2 for a couple months now and they have really grown on me. Work for most music (i can't acclimate with certain distorted/overdriven rock tracks) and have a pleasant, mellow and spacious sound that still feels accurate- fast, but soft? really brings to mind the phrase "like ear-pillows!" I saw on H-F at some point (which I think it was describing a DAC of all things...). I'm also using the Shure foams, and find ES2 work well with all the sources I've tried (phone, Alien, Opus1, gov2).
