Hmm googling those 702s I spotted what might pretty good deal on them?None. I haven't lived with many headphones either, Sennheiser, Kef, Grado... all of them small/portable. The ones I currently listen to more at home are AKG K702s. It's the most natural sound I've ever found. Above the Hifiman he400se that I also own. Although technically the Hifiman are better, they don't sound so natural to meas the AKG. All low impedance. I will borrow some Sennheiser HD600 from a friend, he has bought some HD800 and no longer listens to the HD600. Spending more time with them I might change my mind.

($99 on sale from $429.00 for ref. after the sale ends)
Should I pull the trigger? Or is this a fake sale price
Hmmkay yeah somehow I figured $400 headphones for $100 was too good to be true...I don't know that shop, sorry. I'm in the European market. What I can say is $400 seems a price quite old. That phones used to cost about 300 euros some years ago when they were maida in Austria, since they moved to China the price droped a lot. The regular price here is about 140 euros,

And sometimes in Amazon gets even lower, as in this black friday days.

About the phones, if you pair them with a neutral or warm sounding amp, sound fantastic. Not completely neutral, but very natural. I found this comparison spot on:
