I am new here and spent hours reading the forum. I still dunno what headphones...or earphones to get. I listen to trance and techno mostly. I do listen to Jazz, hip-hop and mainstream music from time to time when in the mood. I own a 60 gig Zen Vision W, which i use daily. Does a "mp3 player (or in my case a MEDIA player)" make a difference in sound quality because I plan to buy a Zen Stone Plus next week. Back to the point. I am willing to spend up to between $200-$350 and another $200-$350 for a portable amp. I am willing to flex around the prices for both the amp and headphones if the total cost is still within my $700 buget.
So far, I have these candidates...
1. AH - D2000 headphones
2. SR - 325 headphones
3. HD 595? 600? headphones
4. K701 headphones
and
5. Etymotics earphones
6. Shures earphones
If there's any more choices that I should consider, please tell me. I am willing to take in all opinion. I still haven't figured out what amp to get. I do want something small, portable and at the same time drawing the most or close to out from my headphones. What are some amps to match the given or recommended head/earphones (if needed).
