New Headphones and amp.

Hello guys!

I am new here and I don't know much about headphones, amps and dacs.
I am using some astros a40 and wanted to upgrade to something that sounds better, since i dont game anymore.

I don't know if i need a good sound card,a good amp, dac or all of them.
I mostly listen to electronic music with alot if bass and sometimes a bit if everyting.

I have around ~700$ for a new headphones

Sorry you want a headset or a headphone? They're not the same thing. A headset has a built in mic. Also is $700 CAD or USD and is it for a DAC/Amp (if needed) + headphone/headset?

Sorry, headphones i already have a mic.700us for the cans and ill see depending on what you suggest for the dac and amp.

If youre into bass I would suggest looking at this thread,watch the videos and read the reviews towards the end of the thread.
I am a backer but have yet to receive my pair yet,so you might factor the wait into your decision,but seems to be a pretty overwhelming hit thus far.

Well, i dont know much about sound sigbature since i havent tried alot of good cans, i just searched a bit an whatll suit me is one with clear voices and alot of bass.

The Audeze LCD 2C are a good option, they are currently on sale for $600 (MSRP $800). While I wouldn't characterize them with clear vocals, the warm-ish tone of the vocals are very pleasing to listen too. They also have a lot of bass too so there's that.

Well as @monsterzero mentioned, you could look at the Kannon, though I have no clue what they sound like, they seemed pretty interesting.
Granted though, I do think if you want head smashing bass, the Kannon would probably be better thanks to it's tactile response but if you want a more traditional headphone, the LCD 2C would be better.

I may wait for the kannons since they look like something id love to, since on the website says written 45 days delay, do you think a pair of v moda m100 whould be nice the time the kannons arrive?

I may wait for the kannons since they look like something id love to, since on the website says written 45 days delay, do you think a pair of v moda m100 whould be nice the time the kannons arrive?

If you have the cash to spare sure. They're closed back, super portable and are very durable so they have other use cases too.
