Hey guys so my journey started out with buying the regular monster turbines. I realized then how much better music is with a good headphones. Shortly after i bought Astro A40's and used them for gaming and music. Then I thought now I needed a better set of IE's because one of the turbines stopped working. So then after reading this forum and some other websites I made an impulse buy on some Sony XBA-H1's. This is what spurred me to join this forum. These headphones blew my mind with how much better everything sounded over the Turbines besides bass but I don't miss the gobs of bass the turbines had. The XBA-H1's are much more balanced and clear sounding. After looking at this forum and how detailed the reviews were I decided I wanted to pursue better sound and get into writing reviews as well! Oh and I listen to pretty much everything from Jurassic 5 to Johnny Cash to Five Finger Death Punch to Skrillex to Jazz. So here I am and I have a few questions.
1. I use my Galaxy S5 for a media player and my music I use is with Spotify, and all of my songs are downloaded in Extreme Quality. So the question is do I need a different media player like the Fiio line or something of the sort? I can tell a huge difference between streaming which is normal quality and the extreme quality. If not what would be the best portable amp/media player under $250?
2. So if I do not need a media player (from #1) What would be the best portable amp for my XBA-H1's? I feel sometimes the bass just doesn't have the punch it should. Everything else about this headphone is great and it is very balanced, except the aforementioned almost weak bass. So is there an amp that could help with this or just make the overall experience better? I get plenty volume from it so it does not need to be louder for or anything.
3. I have the XBA-H1's and instead of buying a amp for these would getting a different set of IE's be more worth my time and money than a amp? They would be mostly for road trips and sitting around the house.
That is all for my questions and thanks in advance guys.
