no detachable cables - even Master Dynamic use detachable cables and they are in Brooklyn too I think so it's not a location thing

I get it, but I have never changed a headphone cable and had way better sound.

The quality of Grado cables is good and not hard to repair.

Probably adds a little weight and cost to the headphones.

My SR60 are still going strong after so many years of use, though the gold plating on the plug worn off. Pads are pretty much the only consumables.

are you kidding? The Grado cables are by FAR the worst cables on any major brand. I know, because I've owned two pairs of Grados that both died because the cables failed. They are HORRIBLE.

I'm curious about the differences between the SR325e and the new x. It might be just the next headphone I buy.

The change to F pads will make a big difference in the sound. The great reaction to the Hemp may have had something to do with that decision.

Good thing grados were assembled with hot glue so its a easy fix when it breaks. I can't believe the 420 hemp edition trulyy sounds that much better btw. Totally unrelated
