I've downscaled the rig.

iPhone SE 256GB permanently mounted with double sided tape... sometimes you just have to go with the simple.... but extravagant.

I tried getting used to carrying around an iPad Mini, using with my Galaxy S20 Ultra, and in the store I tried the iPod touch, smallest but no finger reader, iPhone 12, which was the perfect fit - but also no finger reader (and too expensive for a permanent DAP replacement) and the iPhone SE with 4G was perfect fit and the all important finger scanner so you can unlock on the desk without having to pick it up!

No mucking around with cables or straps and wifi tethering.. It just works!

Guys what aftermarket pads can you recommend for the th610? While I think stock pads are ok, I could do with a bit more depth and higher material quality. Though I don't want to alter the sound too much.

ZMF Eikon in Lambskin, or ZMF Ori if you want thicker pad.

I was thinking about the yaxi pads. Is there much change to the stock sound? The graphs they have on their website don't tell me that much. Have to say the th610 is a pretty good headphone. I prefer it to the focal celestee and dca aeon 2 noire. I do add some bass boost for my edm pleasure.

Can anyone help .. I have discovered a small chip to one of the cups ( I blame my 6 year old son).. has anyone managed to repair a chip or small deep scratch?
Can you make a photo of it?

I generally don't like headphone listening but love these phones. Especially with some eq they are very natural sounding.
Measured two of these to see where the dips and peaks are.
Here's a "general eq" to get mids and highs flatter:
2400Hz, +6.0dB, Q=6
3200Hz, +3.5dB, Q=4
4400Hz, -3.5dB, Q=3
6100Hz, -1.0dB, Q=4
9700Hz, -4.0dB, Q=2

Yep, a small thing but would annoy quite a few people. I'd probably try fixing it on my own by gently applying some bronze marker. If it'll get darker, it surely won't be this noticeable.

Same thing here with a chipped cup. I didn't know the surface was so fragile. I guess, it's because of the cable that accidentally bumped the cup with its connector. The hit was not strong, just barely touched it. I didn't even pay attention until I saw the mark. The surface is extremely fragile. Are you sure it's real wood? Judging by this white mark, the wood does not look real because it is too white. I'm not sure if wood stain will help if it's not real wood.
