New forum listing scheme too confusing

Im having trouble finding actual responses and posts now because they are now hidden under a multitude of branching responses that branch out in 12 different directions.

I think the older scheme was more user friendly and simpler to follow.


can we convert back?

its like de-evolving into the old school BBS

Nothing changed, same as it ever was.
I guess you've changed involuntarily the display mode.The way to change it back is "Quick Links" -->"Edit Options" --> "Thread Display Options" --> "Thread Display Mode" --> "Linear-Oldest First" --"Save Changes".
Most probably your display mode is currently set to "Threaded" or "Hybrid".

Same happened to me, without having touched anything. Got the threaded view even though thread display mode was still set to linear. Hitting 'Save Changes' brought everything back to normal.
