I really hope (and I doubt it'll happen) that Apple would release a Mac that has a touchpad-like device where you could use a touch pen to draw diagrams / notes into something like Word, or even Mail's new notes feature. Often in meetings I find there are lots of notes which are textual, and easy to type in -b ut there are also diagrams, and I'd like to be able to easily draw them in.

Unfortunately a touch-screen (tablet style) Mac like you describe, while it can be done by third-party companies, would be horrendously expensive.

I'm not looking for touch screen capabilities - more something like a reduced function wacom tablet pad included into the Macbook/Macbook Pro immediately beside the touch pad. For that matter, they could probably use the touchpad with a stylus to let you make handwritten notes directly into specific applications. I have no desire for touchscreen.

What I want is exactly as I described above: the ability to take hand written notes in a limited fashion with a standard notebook computer. That way I can draw diagrams to accompany notes. I think that by either adding a second pad (not a touchscreen, just a pad like the touchpads currently used as a mouse) to a notebook upon which a stylus could be used to draw diagrams would be hugely, HUGELY useful. I want to be able to use the keyboard most of the time, it would just be handy to be able to occasionally sketch a little diagram in the notes.
