One side of my brand new IEMS is distorting if I bring the volume just slightly over half the scale on my players. It seems that it distorts a certain frequency, as some moments on the track distortion will not be present, other times it will. Would significant burn in help or should I try to arrange an exchange right away?

You sure it's not the jack? now and again the jacks have to fiddled with the first couple days on many brands (especially the nickel plated ones) if that's not the case, I would return them. My 2 cents
