I hope this has not been posted. There are a couple of inexpensive new phones on the Denon website. They look promising for cheap closed portables.

Denon really gets it in the stylin' dept. I just love how their stuff looks! Streamlined, simple - rather Zen which always appeals to me. Less is more in my book. I'm just not a bling guy I guess.

Yes, the AH-D5000 and AH-D2000 get some nice feedback around here.
Not bad prices either...

I don't know, it seems odd that Denon is trying to break into the $50-70 bracket when they've just positioned themselves on the higher end. And though I generally agree that they have slick styling and that headphones are experiencing a market boom, I have a blanket problem with the widespread tendency to use bulky, hollow, fragile plastic hinges between the earcups and the headband. The better headphones up to the mid-nineties never went in for that.
