I've updated the first post to include this video :D

Really enjoy the Play, it's an awesome platform for op-amp rolling.

My Play just arrived and I opened it to remove the default NEC chips and put in the V6 Vivids. Now, I can't get the top to fit back on. It seems the V6 Vivids are too tall. Has anyone else experience this?

Remove the spacers (extra set of pins are installed on the bottom of the V6).

Comparing the Play to the Pulse Infinity v 2.0 using the Lycan with V6 Classics with HE-6s.

I've got a pair of V6 Classics rolled in and I love them! They remind me of the V5 but with great clarity. A bit euphoric which I love. Music is very easy to just relax and drift off into. I really like both OpAmps, however will be using vivid for Gaming/PC use and Classics for music, movies and HTPC purposes. I'll be doing a more in depth comparison soon however just wanted to give you all an update - I'm really loving the Play!

The volume of 50 was what I needed to get the HE-6 sounding well in comparison to the Pulse Infinity set at almost maximum output with the Lycan in the 10-11 range.
I would say the Play was in the 90-95 percent of the Infinity / Lycan setup. The Play was much simpler to set up being able to use a WIN 10 driver and no cable to a seperate amplifier.
I think part of the preference was the V6 Classics in the Lycan vs. V6 Vivids in the Play. The cabling could have help the Infinity / Lycan setup as I had the LH Labs 2G USB with your active red cable. Additionally the Infinity had a full dedicated LPS4 power supply.

Overall I liked what I heard and plan to go back and listen with a different headphone, such as the HE-560.

In talking with Alex he suggested they were hearing preferences for the Classics in the amplifier section and recommended switching out the 2 single Vivids V6 for the two single Classic V6s. I took his suggestion and swapped the Classics into the Play and the Vivid's in the Lycan. While I do think the Classics added that intimate aspect to the Play and enjoyed listening to the Play, I still preferred the Infinity / Lycan setup. I did switch over to the HiFiMAN HE-560 for this round of listening. I would say it is still in the 90%-95% closeness, which is impressive comparing a $500 setup to a $1500 one and when you add the much simpler setup, the Play is even more amazing.
