I wonder if this is an upgrade in resolution, or just a different sound-signature to my ESW10jpns.

Ok I have had quite a few of the wooden portable earsuit line with the esw9, esw11 & esw10jpn,but didn't know about this..

People asking if this will be good?
No that's a given, but will it be "great"?

I think very much so (!)

before this, only the esw11 had superior drivers as no other can has the 6n winding except the esw11..

I personally am absolutely positive from my experience, that the smaller driver (42mm instead of 53mm) combined with the excellent coil, will give more detailed and positive results to easily rival and maybe surpass fabled esw10jpn(!)..

Not sure what tonality or Soundstage it will have, but in the sense of realism amd detail it will be a beauty. .
Edit:
In the description it says as having a "relaxed tone that is warm",
So I would imagine a cross between the original esw9&the esw11..

I wish they would add folding mechanism beyond swiveling. Anyone know any portable cases for these style phones?

Simple generic hardcases seem to have zippers that collapse which kills the whole point of the case. True the faces are solid but the headphones are getting pressed down by the sides.

Audio Technica had a hard case for the ESW10JPN but I am not sure if that's still available anymore.

Wow, Just got an esw11ltd and esw10jpn and now this…..Oh Dear.

At 43,000. yen though it is cheaper than the 11 or 10 were…… hmm.

you will need to get this 1 to complete your collection!...

I am hoping that the wood is slightly larger than the esw9 time will tell..

No rush though as 3000 units will still take many months to sell out.
I think the esw11 took about 1.5yrs.
