This is my first post on head fi

.
I love my ESW11ltd. This is my main headphone now. I use it with my ak100 stock (fw1.33), venturecraft v7mg1l mini interconnect, and xduoo xp-1 amp with 16 and 24 bit source (wav).
I have heard t5p before, imo it has much bigger soundstage, and better instrument separation and better clarity.
But still I like esw11ltd better. It has natural sounding. It can turn my music to "life". Somehow I can feel what the singer feels. Kinda scary I know.
Vocal, piano and guitar sounds really great. At least better than the other headphone that i owned (dt880pro 250, dt1350).

The thing i don't like from esw11ltd is its sound stage. It is too small on my current set up. But it can really dig a lot of details out and cause me headache for a long period of use.
Maybe it just my brain need to break in more.

Very nice writeup xplosive, welcome to Head-fi and sorry about your wallet

I think that I know what you mean with the headache. I get a little fatigued after a bit myself, but I have chalked it up to the ESW11 being supra-aurals more than its sound signature.

Thank you for the welcome grokit.

I like to turn the volume up when i am listening to my music. I really love the detail and sounding that it produces. And after 2-3 hours listening my head start to feel dizzy and my ears start to numb...

The headache caused by my own action actually not the esw11 fault

I posted before.
Anyway, I've been using the esw1ltd as my main portable pair. I've been spoiling myself with lots of high end pairs lately. Owned the hd800 for over a year, the he6 for about 2 weeks, audeze lcd2 for a few months, beyer t5p as a portable for a while and tried the esw9 and ed8.
These are so far my favorite portables.
They hit the sweet spot for me. Nice, smooth sound. Good clarity and resolution. Decent soundstage. It does everything well enough that I never feel the need to upgrade portables.
They do get a bit uncomfortable on the ears. Since I've been using them for about half a year I kinda get used to it.

Can anybody compare ESW11ltd vs T5P? I would love to hear more about those.
BTW I am selling my new SD3 IEM to buy a full size headphone wich will work great with AK120.

The T5p sounded wonky to me. I never liked it. Didn't sound even close to linear. Thin sound.
The esw11 is fuller.

I been using my esw11s with my 3ds while playing project x zone. Lol.

I been really enjoying the esw11 and my PRMs with the ak120 recently.

I do agree with xplosive. On my 3ds I do get tired of them after a while and need a break.

So I was walking around the science center in harvard square when I saw a(n asian) guy wearing one of these. I just had to tell him he had some great taste going on.

But then again, this is the place where I got to demo a pair of HD800s, and a bunch of other great phones. Bunch of audiophiles here I must say...

Sorry, never made it to the store.
A heatwave hit Japan and all thoughts about buying new over the ears phones have disappeared for now.
Phew, it is hot.
