It certainly looks like a PX 100 contender, they rotate too (is that the only competition in this market group?). It's also following the Igrados by coming in white and black.

Sorry to bring up an ancient thread, but this was the only thing to came up after a search..

Does anyone have any experience with these headphones?

I'm in the market for a new pair.

Currently have a pair of FC7's. Before that I had a set of Senn PX100's (which got broken)

Thanks in advance...

What's wrong with your FC7's?

If you've got the extra money, go for the ES7's.

^ It's not really that bad. More of being overly bassy and muddy, coupled with the fact that the soundstage is rather small, and that the details are not there, and that the overall sound is rather slow (as in opposite of dynamic). If you can live with those faults, it should be fine.

Also, these comments aren't groundless, I own a pair.

There was nothing wrong with the FC7's... they sounded very good (to me anyway). However, they never really fit me all that well.

I'm wondering if I should just pick up another set of PX100's. It was always solid and comfortable to wear. However, sometimes you want your new set to be a totally new experience

That's hilarious... so what the heck are the redeeming qualities?

I'd say the FC7 is AT's way of making a can for the proverbial masses, kinda like what AKG did with the K81DJ. Bassy and fun.

Agreed. It certainly has its limitations, but for a compact closed can at its price point I don't feel it sucks at all.

The FC7 is also the lowest-cost and slimmest-profile headphone I've tried that provided what I would call a "useful" degree of isolation, something that PX200s, K26Ps and K81DJs do not do - on my ears, anyway.

that was my basic impression of the fc7 also but the thing that was the biggest turn off for me was the self retracting headband. it ended up crushing the top of my head and even felt worse than a grado!
