Reminds me of a certain Hifiman headphone. I don't need a Krell monoblock to tell that that thing has way too much treble energy.

I don't think that's the only time the HE6 is harsh. You could just have a brightish source or inherently bright amp. Also, the HE6 is a little north of neutral as is.

I've heard HE-6 with harsh treble when "properly" mega-amp powered. HE-6 needs the right amp or the right synergistic combination. At least that's my excuse for it.

Sorry but mega does not = quality.  I've heard the HE-6 on more than a few high quality amps and have not experienced the harshness at all.
