I am searching for a DAP to use with my AEON Flow Closed headphone.I looked at many products like Astell&Kern's but reviews usually say they have a warm/smooth sound signature. I want a neutral sound but can't find a DAP with that. I will use the 2.5mm balanced output by the way.

a DAP must transfer the audio to the headphone without changing the tonality in any means. Price: up to a thousand.

You can consider Opus #3. I am using it and I am happy with its neutrality.

I like my Sony WM1A, and to my ears it sounds fairly neutral. The balanced output on this is 4.4mm, but you can find good ultra-short 2.5 -> 4.4 adapters that don't degrade signal. The one I use for that purpose is a pentaconn available from EffectAudio.
