What? I have absolutely no clue what that means.

First things first: I updated my mobo's bios (Abit IC7-G) and now Nero refuses to work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail.

When i updated my bios my pc had a **** fit and would not boot up (boot disk failure). Since i have sata HD's, i just moved one sata plug over to another sata port and plugged it in and it booted up (don't ask, it works everytime with my pc when i have boot up issues).

Anyway, what the hell am i to do with nero?

By the way, did I ever mention what a major pain the ass my sata hd's have been?

EDIT: I figured it out...i was trying to start a burn with a 3 second track...bad idea as Nero hated it. If only the damn thing would've told me so.

You may want to say that it "may" not get along. I have absolutely no problems with SP2 on my machines. The Nero I use is the one that came with my LiteON CDRW, then updated with the one that came with my Pioneer DVD burner, then updated with the last update from the Nero website.

The obvious 'thing' may be that the ATA channel drivers have become corrupted. Try updating the intel chipset from ABit's site or try the Intel website.

(personal note: I used Intel's latest on my ECS i850 and it caused slowdowns and temporary hangs. I went to the EVS website and downloaded and installed their Intel chipset drivers and it corrected the problem).

Check Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> select ATA channels, select properties, reload driver. etc.

Do a google for your problem.
