my budget is around 200$ (i cant add too much to that...maybe a few bucks)
. Basicly, the pair i will buy will be used for studio uses...such as music creations and mixing.
The genres im dealing with are most of the time death metal and electronics so concider that while recommanding me the best pair for my use.
It will also be nice if the headphones will fit for a daily music listening (i mean the music i like to listen to for fun...not for working) which includes the genres i already mentioned.
 
I aleady got some recommandations for the AKG K242HD\K272HD and Sony MDR 7509HD, I'd like to hear your opinion about them.

What equipment will you be plugging your new headphones into?

Well, I've been asking the same question (although my budget is 300€ -that being around 400$), was decided on dt880 600ohm, but somebody recomended me the revox 3100/synergy(around 125€), which are vintage dt880/600. Another idea is vintage akg k240 or k340. The difference is that I'll be buying a dedicated amp...so far been pointed towards class A moded Matrix M-Stage.
 
But I'm still looking for options about setup. Overall budget is 600€(with postage and taxes if imported from us and a), maybe 700 if there would be a noticable difference. Thats headphones and (preferably) SS amp.

for now it is possible for me to connect it to my PC through a JVC JX1 amp or directly through the PL of the motherboard.
in the future ill buy a nice sound card and it will be connected to it.
