Ok, as the title suggests, im looking for a conclusion on an issue i have.
(This isnt the issue) but im becoming an audiophile.
My current gear includes my main laptop set-up - Great sound card + fiio e10 + Shure SRH840 = sounds amazing.
my mobile set-up - HTC One X + Sennheiser cx215 (i think) = sounds reasonable.
my Mp3 player - Samsung K3 + Philips in ear = sounds crap.
I need a new mp3 player. Aside from technological faults, im not overly impressed with the SQ, even when paired with my other headphones.
My criteria is that it MUST play FLAC, and have expandable memory and fit within a 0-$160 AUS budget.
SQ is of the utmost importance, i dont care if the UI is sluggish, or if it can play angry birds and has an alarm clock.
After days of searching online, it has lead me to these two options.
1) Cowon C2 + 16gb Micro SD
2) Sansa Fuze + Line out + Amp
what i need to know is if the equalizer on the cowon is enough to offer prestine sound when paired with the Shures/Sennheiser i have (probably even an ATH-WS55 at that point) compared to the Sansa combo.
OR
If the sansa combo will just **** all over the cowon. (Im cautious of certain brands, especially when compared against highly reputable brands like Cowon)
