need working temperature for 5687 and 6SN7GT

I look for Herbie's tube damper and I see :
420°.F (216°.C). for white teflon
486°.F (252°.C). for Nickel Alloy

One member suggest me white teflon to not overdamp my tubes.

I am ok for 5687 with 420 degree max ??

I don't know if 6SN7GT is considered for a hot temperature tube ??

You dont need tube dampers on the 5687's. Just put a white telon damper on the input/ gain tube and be done. If you do use the dampers on the 5687's get the higher temperature dampers.

Use the white teflon with 6cg7/6gu7/6sn7/7af7/7n7/5814/5965/6414/6829/7062/ 12at7/12au7/12av7 etc...

White Teflon--Lightly sandblasted PTFE provides a sonically neutral, highly musical result at an economical price. For preamp, input, and other cool-running small-signal tubes only. Sleeveless design allows continuous use up to 420°.F (216°.C).

Use the higher temperature Nickle dampers with output tubes like then 5687/6bl7gta@ high voltage/ 6as7g etc... the SP output tubes I list run hot.

Nickel alloy--Spring-tempered C-ring delivers intricate detail and imaging, smooth frequency response. Fiberglass-filled insulation sleeves allow continuous use to 486°.F (252°.C). Our default recommendation for all vacuum tubes, including hot-running rectifier and amplifier output power tubes.

I got a email from Herbies and they suggest me the Nickel.

So I have order 2 Nickel for 5687 and 1 nickel for my 6sn7gt.

Will see ... anyway, it's not a expansive test to do.
