I've had my 595s since they came out in 2005. They've served me really well and, to be honest, it's not as though they don't provide an enjoyable listening experience anymore. I mostly feel like I can justify upgrading them, so I'm looking for some suggestions.
I've always loved Sennheisers. I'm not a basshead at all; my main priority is accuracy of sound reproduction. If the sound seems dull or inaccurate, that's when I'll get pissed off with headphones.
The top end of my budget is probably about $500-600. I'd LOVE to try out the 800s, but I just don't think I can justify it right now. I typically listen through my iPod, but I'm not at all averse to spending an extra $200 or so for a good headphone amp.
Any suggestions? I listen mostly to classic rock, with some classical thrown in there once in a while, but in terms of pickiness, I care a lot more about how the rock sounds than the classical.
