This whole journey started with the desire to do a complete audio solution for my friend who is blind. I want to complete my setup and his at the same time, as what I learn on mine trickles down to his. The end goal here is to have speakers, hifi can's, and a headset where nothing is unplugged or plugged in and works at all times. Source will always be the same to all three output's.

Equipment:
Topping DX7
Audiosource AMP100VS
Little Bear P7
Polk BS speakers
Sony BS speakers

I have Blue Lola's and HiFi-man HE-400i's
He has Sennheiser HD598's
and I have a pair or Razer Kraken Pro's and Sennheiser Gaming One's

My current plan
My setup DX7->power amp->little bear with polk's
His setup Schitt modi->magni->power amp with sony

Question #1 what to do for a power amp. The audio source is just fine as neither pair of BS speakers are OP and don't require much. But I could hand it down to him and find something balanced to run off my DX7 incase I upgrade speakers. Either way I need another amp or have it integrated into a solution for him.

Question #2 headset solution. Both setup's are planning to use onboard. I bought him the Razer headset quite a while ago however I knew nothing about PC audio and couldn't set it up properly to a point that it was easy for him to manage two pair's of can's. I took some time to use them and in game's they sound fine, and maybe even some music, but they are horrid for casual youtube usage and I'd imagine they can do little more than game. I want him to have a pair of daily use, a pair for special listening, and a set of speakers for when he want's to relax on the bed. My potential solution here is to get an add on mic for my hifi-man's or lola's and give him my gaming one's as daily drivers then take the razer for my own gaming needs. edit: I might just do a seperate mic entirely for mine but I have loud keyboards.

Just looking for thought's and suggestions. Right now I'm looking at a minimum budget of $300 for modi2 magni3 and a second audiosource amp. It goes up from there if I intend on upgrading my system so I am open to suggestions.

I just ordered a schiit magni and modi stack and will be giving him my Audiosource amp for his speakers. I'm going to spend some time on them to see how I like them, but mostly to make sure there aren't any complications and so I know exactly how they work before setting them up.

So he will have
Schiit Modi2
Schiit Magni3
Sennheiser HD598
AudioSource AMP100VS
Sony Bookshelf

That's a lot of money to spend but considering the majority of his time is spent on his computer and it is completely audio based, it is worth it. Same justification was when I built him an AM3+ computer, it's where he spend's his day's and worth the investment. Now he will have high quality output to his headphones and also have the option to sit back and have a listen. I still haven't figured out which headset to let him use, considering he dailies the hd598's and will barely use voice chat, I'll probably just let him keep the kraken pro's and run off his sound card.
