hey im a sophomore in college and i use to have kodel speakers(i really cant find ANYTHING about them even on google weird...) anyways

im looking into some nice speakers to light up my room a bit.

im tryingggg to stay under 100. lowest is best since im on a college budget. im looking into the Swan M10, Klipsch 2.1 promedia and the logitech z-2300

please suggest any set similar or better.

I want some clear, with good mids and highs but also with a good amount of bass. all for a low price. so can any audiophile help?

i read some reviews on the swan, to be honest looks wise is a high 9 but read they lack in bass : ( also the m12 is cheaper than the m10 why is that?

for <100 i don't think you'll be able to find the klipsch set. i actually use the promedia 2.1 and i love it. but i think the m10 can definitely be found for <100 and haven't personally heard them, but i've read a lot of good reviews for them.

uhhh yes very

im looking for a simple set up, like a sub and 2 speakers.

im just really looking into the swans M10-12. m10's worth the wait and price?

saw klipsch at best buy... wasnt too impressed. lacked in bass though highs are good.

m12's could be bought now. but there hasnt been any real thorough review yet. : /

What kind of bass were you expecting out of sub $200 speakers in a warehouse?

The bass certainly isn't deep as it requires careful placement and tends to operate off resonance. For many the improvement in general quality though seems to offset this.

I have yet to see anyone in particular complain about them, many of which I've seen come from Logitech's.

I'll link you over to my thread asking for 2.0/2.1 setups over on TechReport which was just a mirror of the one I have here. Surprisingly enough, there doesn't seem to be that many people that have actually heard the Swan M10s in this section of the forum, but I got two responses over on TR from people who have. It might be useful for your decision making. Here's the thread.

I own a Z-2300. IMO, they need A LOT of EQ balancing especially around the 500-1000Khz (mid) range, and the 16K+ range for the lack of a tweeter. I also have the bass knob turned down a little because of the small room it's in. For volume to price ratio, it's pretty much unbeatable, but do you really need such a beast?
