Need some suggestions

Hi not new but signed up long time ago and forgot about it..... Anyways need some help with a new set of headphones or possibly some in ears. I currently own the beats solo2 wireless (didn't pay full price for them, $50 good deals) but I just want something.... better. Unfortunately I live in a town that has no place to go to try on headphones which sucks cause that would be helpful. I am looking for something portable that works with every genre. I've had a few in mind based on reviews. The Oppo PM-3s look awesome (amp needed? Never owned one...) Sony 1000MX2 and possibly Etymonic ER4P-T... my concern about those though is the cord is not removable. My limit is under 450

I'd recommend the HD1 from Sennheiser. It's more refined than the Beats but is still punchy. Comparing the two would make the Beats sound super muffled and lacking of detail

possibly Etymonic ER4P-T... my concern about those though is the cord is not removable. My limit is under 450

ER4XR already has removable cables.

AFAIK the ER-4PT have removable cable like the other older ER4 models. Should mention that unless you've found a particularly good deal the current generation ER4XR and ER4SR are available for the same price, though I don't think they can be switched with an adapter like the P-T. (IMO ER4P are good all-rounders but this really depends on personal preference, and will probably sound rather bass-light compared to Beats).

If you're in the states a lot of Best Buys have the Sony 1000x for demo, I actually just tried them out yesterday. I'm not into the wireless ANC stuff but they seem like a good option if you're after those features.
