Hi all I've been wondering about this for quite some time after I finished and installed my STEPS to power my PPA.

Before installing STEPS I've been using a regulated wallwart bought from a local shop ....

after installing STEP's I've noticed the bass had been reduced or became less impactfull ... what did I do wrong ??

What transformer did you use in the STEPS, what are its specs? What is the output voltage of your STEPS configured to be and what is it measured to be? What was the voltage and current output capabilities of your old walwart?

I'm wondering if don't have enough current coming out of your STEPS.

It may be that the bass is simply tighter, less flabby. In other words, you may be hearing the bass as it is recorded, instead of as it was distorted.
