Need some help deciding on some headphones...

Hey everybody. I am new here and i have been looking at getting some new headphones. I dont want to spend more than $120. These will be my headphones i use at home and will probably be constantly hooked up to the computer. I listen to classic rock and Hip hop mainly.

Heres a couple i have been looking at.

Sennheiser HD555
Senheiser HD280

any other suggestion/recommendations?

I own the HD280, HD595 and Grado SR80's I also tested the HD555's at home for a week before ended up getting the HD595's.

In my opinion I would rate all of these headphones in this order

HD595>SR80>HD555>HD280

You might want to just head to you nearest Hi-Fi shopt and try them all out fist, especially the Grados as they do not for everyone.

i see so between the hd55 and the hd280 the 555 wins out. any other brands?

Grado's are awsome if you are into the Grado sound. Personally I love itm but first you should try them out to see if it is your cup of tea.

If you like your bass strong, take a look at the Beyerdynamic DT770.
