Need some headphones

So, I'm in the market to get a new set of headphones.
For the most part, I generally just listen rock/metal, a fairly wide assortment of it too.. But really not much other than rock.. I'll probably use them with an Ipod Classic, which I'll hopefully pick up soon.
I'm trying to keep them under about $100, a little over is alright; not too far, if at all, though.
I'd like them for all around listening, generally when I'm longboarding, snowboarding, and just sitting around.. It would be nice if they can be set around the neck and still heard when I feel like it, but when they're on, not too loud to the outside.

It sounds like you wouldn't be looking for iems, but something portable and open (at least somewhat).

For your needs, I think you'd like the sennheiser px100 or pmx100, just your preference. http://headphone.com is a great place to start looking. The above are there.
