Hi everyone, as you can see from the title I'm looking to buy a pair of custom iems. Some customs have caught my interest, namely the 1964-T, JH5 pro and livewires trips. I'd like something which doesnt have harsh/sibilant treble and fun-sounding if possible with a large soundstage for an iem. For the build I would just like something with detachable cables
Oh, by the way my budget is US400 excluding ear impressions. Thanks

I will recommend to buy used highend custom IEMs from here ( F/S forum) like JH13Pro/JH16Pro, UM Miracle, ES5, UE 11Pro and reshell it.

plus i think your budget is a bit limiting unless someone lets it go for cheap, if not you won't be able to look for any high end customs with a 400 budget. Another way is to buy high end universals and reshell it, that will match your budget a bit more.

I'd say the 1964 T's are pretty high end...

I've had the 1964-T and Livewire Trips and I'd easily take any of those two over any universal earphone without exception.

There are a few reviews of the 1964-T out there so I would look at that first and go from there. There's also a big Jh5 appreciation thread with many impressions.

thanks everyone for your replies. The jh5 is supposedly the best tuned entry-level custom according to most threads here. Ive looked at the FS threads but theyre still out of my budget unfortunately. I'm planning to pair whatever I get with either a cmoyBB. Which custom will benefit most from the amp? Thanks
