I need some better WAV program than NERO for making the my WAV files sound about the same level of volume. I plan on making some CDs and often times the volume from one WAV to another is not even close. I have been mudding through with NERO's WAV editor, but I figure something has got to work better.

I am trying out NGWave right now. The trial version won't allow saving any files. That is kinda bogus. But the program costs $29.95 and I hate spending money on stuff like this. It seems to work easy enough.

Anydody have any suggestions?

I have very little experience with this so consider it a suggestion with a grain of salt, however another member suggested Audacity in a thread awhile back. Decent opensource software available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Kitchen Sink.

You could always use foobar2000 and replaygain scan your songs as an "album" to get them about the same volume then use diskwriter plugin to write new WAV files.
