Need qucik awnser about Vinyls

I have a quick question. I am posting it here because this is kinda unreatlated to sound.

Has anyone ever heard of the path of a record needle or the tracks in the vinyls themselves or anything about music playing refered to as roads?

You mean the grooves that the stylus goes through? Have not heard them refered to as roads, grooves yes, but not roads.

Could be a bad translation, I'd assume - maybe "tracks" were actually meant instead.
