Need Proper closed Headphones under $100

you can try sennheiser CX300, 400, or even better 500s. They aren't really IEM more like a hybrid design very very comfortable and good noise cancellation

One more vote for the Audio Technica ATH-ES7. They are great.

According to the headroom description, the Beyer 235 is just the 231 in full matte black. From what I've read, the 231 is not great, just a decent entry point into headphones.

in the year i have been browsing headfi, i have never read a word about the headphone you plan to buy, even a quick search didnt turn up much. the most popular $100 closed headphone is by far the ath-es7. If you do plan to buy the es7, just watch out for fakes, buy from a trustworthy seller.
