I was wondering if anyone can reccomend some earphones that dont annoy the hell out of me

basically i just want good sounding earphones (my current cx300's sound great) that i can use while mountain biking / gym etc, without busting the bank (cx300 price range too)

id keep these cx300's but they drive me insane, left ear has 2 feet of cable that ends up flossing in between my teeth & the right ear has about 2 inches, which means i cant run (cant stand up without ripping my ear off), and on mountain bikes i have to lean to one side or it drops out.

So are there any earphones that have the CX300 sound quality & price tag, that wont have me walking around like i have a broken neck?

Try the new JVC FX66, I bought the CX300 and hated the cord and the silver plug, but I wanted something that sounded similiar if not better and the FX66 (I think anyway) sounds much better with some really great bass, controled and tight by my untrained ears....

Ultimate Ears have an inexpensive Canalphone called the Metro.fi 2 and I've heard some say that they prefer them to the CX300 and I think they run for about $40-50.

A little off topic, but to MylarOne XBs have a J-cable, or is it 'normal'?

I have not heard the Mylarone but have had the iM716 for a whille now and heard the vibes, Ue3fi and ER6i. The Maximo iMetal 390S surpasses them all IMHo. Just make sure to get the latest version.

Probably the best bass i have heard so far from an IEM.

The Creative EP630 has the same form factor, is said to sound somewhat like the Sennheisers (I have the Creatives but haven't heard those Senns), and costs less (about half as much) ... oh, and the cords are in the conventional "Y" configuration. That sounds like a win-win, to me. Decent sound, particularly for the price. You won't be doing analytical listening while mountain biking, anyway, I presume ...

Also, I have a friend who listens to the Creatives at the gym, and she thinks they override the loud "gym" music fairly well, for canal phones.

ah nice, was looking at the creatives lastnight.
Sounds like they're what im looking for!

im not fussy over listening but i dont like the standard ipod earphones etc, i like something that doesnt buzz or crack on bassy tones or sounds like glass cutting during on the trebles. (that gets to me even when mountain biking)

CX300's sound great for what i do & from reviews the creatives sound very simular and with a Y cable, i think there what i need
